Maintenance Free Operating Period (MFOP)
A period of time (or appropriate units) during which an asset or system is both operational and is able to carry out its required function(s) without maintenance activities and without encountering failures.

Maintenance-free operating period (MFOP) is an alternative measure of performance to MTBF, or mean time between failures, which has some mathematical issues mostly caused by the misconception that MTBF represents the point in time when the probability of failure is equal to the probability of continued operation.
