Unregulated Maintenance
Any maintenance tasks that are not governed by local statute or other regulatory requirements of any kind.

Although some maintenance may not be regulated it may still be non-discretionary, particularly if it affects the long-term performance of an asset of ensures preservation of warranties.

Listed below are some examples of unregulated maintenance that may apply in some circumstances:
  • Inspection of the exterior sealant for signs of distress is not regulated but it may be mandatory in order to preserve warranties on the facade assembly.
