Under-Warranty Period
The period before expiration of a warranty on an asset where the warranty requirements, such as non-discretionary maintenance, still apply.

For example:
  • A new construction project was underwritten with a 2-5-10 warranty, meaning that some warranties expired at 2 years, others at 5-years and the final warranties at 10 years
  • We replaced the roof on our building and purchased an extended 5-year warranty rather than the standard 2-year warranty.
