Payback
The amount of time over which the costs associated with an upgrade to an asset are recovered through reduced savings elsewhere, such as reduced energy consumption.

Listed below are some examples of projects with paybacks, typically due to an energy conservation measure.
  • A low efficiency boiler is replaced with a high efficiency condensing boiler.
  • Additional insulation is added to roofs and walls to improve their thermal performance.
  • Retrofitting a booster pump assembly with variable frequency drives.
  • Installation of LED fixtures.
  • Retrofit from T12 to T8 fluorescent fixtures.
  • DDC Retrofit
