Non-Specialist Review

A review of a system or an asset that is carried out by a person who is not fully qualified.

The multi-disciplinary teams for facility condition assessments or reserve studies will often include individuals with varying levels of expertise.

Non-specialists are sometimes used to reduce the costs for the consulting review, for initial review, or for non-critical systems.

Depending on the objectives, a consulting team with a good balance of generalists and specialists is required for a facility condition assessment.
