Mission-Dependent Facility
The middle ranking in the three-tied criticality classification of the Mission Dependency Index (MDI) as deemed by the facility stakeholders.

Attributes
Mission-dependent facilities have the following general attributes:
  • Dynamic public nodes.
  • Front-of-house spaces.
  • High value resources but secondary to the owners' or the stakeholder mission.

Examples
Listed below are some examples from a civic portfolio:
  • Recreation centres
  • Libraries
In the case of a university portfolio, a library would be deemed mission-critical.

These types of facilities are generally given a score ranging from 4-7 points on a 10 point scale.
