Life Cycle Cost (LCC)

The total discounted dollar costs of owning, operating, maintaining, repairing, renewing and, eventually, disposing of an asset (or group of assets) over the designated study period or over the entire life of the asset (or group of assets).  

Life cycle costs are not uniform over the life of an asset and will vary at different stages, as reflected in the facility life cycle models.

The combination of the capital load and operating load for a single asset, system or building.
