Future State

There are two types of future states:

  • The desired future state
  • The default future state

Default Future State

An evolving pattern that is "projected" to occur.  A state is an evolving/ongoing condition, such as a trend. States apply to things such as:

  • Annual funding levels
  • Closing balances each fiscal year
