Engineered Reserve Study

A form of reserve study based on engineering principles (as opposed to accounting principles). This type of study will be performed by engineering consultants or a team with technical knowledge of buildings and their assets.

An engineered reserve study places greatest emphasis on the physical analysis, which is seen as the foundation for the entire study. Any errors or omissions in the physical analysis will cascade into the financial analysis and undermine the entire report.
