Denominator (Formula)

That term of a fraction, usually written under the line, that indicates the number of equal parts into which the unit is divided.  

The bottom number of a fraction used to derive an Index.

The following are used as numerators to derive the FCI for the Standard FCA, and the EFCI and FNI for the Enhanced FCA.

Several indices use building replacement cost as the denominator or total square footage. For example:
